Why do we need renewable Technology?

Renewable energy is critical to our fight against climate change. We simply must shift our world to a low-carbon economy and away from oil and coal. Experts agree we need a substantial reduction in CO2 over the next 40-50 years and this means we need renewable energy to replace fossil fuels now.

The Building Regulations now require all new projects and those existing premises having substantial improvement to have a least 10% renewable energy on site.

Many local authorities, including all those in Greater London have increased the requirement to 20%. Increasing numbers of local authorities have adopted it and many more are developing similar ‘On-site renewable energy requirement’ plans.
